It’s all gift. This morning I went down by the shore as the rising sun peeked from behind the island. A single bird in a tree overhead announced the event … just in case I wasn’t paying attention. Rosy light filled the woods behind me, and a single shaft caught my neighbor’s flag reminding me of the privilege of such peace and safety.
