An indifferent lake early
Foggy
Monochrome gray
Offering no invitation
To look closer
Approach
Enter
Ride upon
Yet filled
With possibilities
Latent beauty
Much to be revealed
Later
Sparkling blueness
Drawing laughter
From children playing
Those fishing
Waiting in hopeful
Anticipation

I am late with my response to your poem Tom, apologies.
The first line got me, ‘An indifferent lake’…the following lines of the first verse in equal spirit of indifference, lakes are such mysterious places. Then to come alive with human activities, well balanced.

Yes, Teri, I am very well. Postings come and go for me. I have one simmering this week. We’ll see.
As I write this, a loon came into view. Another peaceful sight on this placid lake.
