Hopeful Anticipation

An indifferent lake early
Foggy
Monochrome gray
Offering no invitation
To look closer
Approach
Enter
Ride upon

Yet filled
With possibilities
Latent beauty
Much to be revealed
Later
Sparkling blueness
Drawing laughter
From children playing
Those fishing
Waiting in hopeful
Anticipation

I am late with my response to your poem Tom, apologies.

The first line got me, ‘An indifferent lake’…the following lines of the first verse in equal spirit of indifference, lakes are such mysterious places. Then to come alive with human activities, well balanced.

    Hello Tom,
I am nominating you for the 5 day photo/story challenge given to me by suedreamwalker. She has a lovely blog.

If you want to have a go, the rules are-‘Post a photo each day for five consecutive days and attach a story to the photo. It can be fiction or non-fiction, a poem or a short paragraph and each day nominate another blogger for the challenge.
I haven’t seen you posting anything for a while Tom, I hope you are well.

Yes, Teri, I am very well. Postings come and go for me. I have one simmering this week. We’ll see.

As I write this, a loon came into view. Another peaceful sight on this placid lake.
